The Lions returned to the gym at Cecil Community College for the second day of this mixer this time facing off against nationally ranked #15 Monroe Community College. The game opened up and turned in the Lions favor about halfway through the first half where the Lions were down 18-14. Alex Obase finds a cutting Xavier Barrow who swings to Hussain Williams for the three, Lions down 18-17. The Lions get a stop and come back down on offense where they surrender a jump ball but keep possession. Barrow finds CJ Scott on the inbounds play for the easy layup, Lions up 19-17. Another stop from the Lions and once again Barrow finds Williams for another three, Lions lead 22-18, Monroe timeout with about eight and a half minutes left in the first half. Out of the timeout Monroe scored a layup to stop the bleeding, 24-20 Lions lead. The Lions beat the Monroe press and Williams was fouled on a jump shot. The Monroe player unhappy with the call gets T'd up, Williams goes to the line and makes 4-4 to give the Lions a 26-20 lead. After a couple of fast possessions with no buckets either way Barrow finds Obase in the paint for the turn around layup. Obase would grab an offensive rebound and make the putback to give the Lions a 30-20 lead. Next Possession Barrow comes away with the steal and gives scott the fastbreak layup to give the Lions a 32-20 lead on a 18-2 run. Monroe would work on closing that gap as the Lions headed into halftime up 40-35.

The second half started out with Monroe making their first two buckets and the pressure was on. The Lions would lead for the first 15 minutes of the second half, never by more than the five point lead they started the half with. A made layup by Monroe put them in the driver seat up 60-59 with 5:49 remaining. The Lions would tie the game at 60, again at 62 and once again 64, but Monroe was able to stop the Lions and score two possessions in a row so the fouling began as there was less than a minute remaining, Lions lost 74-69.
