The Lions jumped out to a 10-2 lead 3 minutes into the game which made Lackawanna's coach take all five of his starters out of the game. Lackawanna's bench seized their opportunity and tied the game at 10 after being on the court for two minutes. Their run would continue and give the Falcons a 19-13 lead with 11 minutes left in the half. The Falcons lead was up to 12, 35-23 before a late 2 minute push from the Lions would send us to halftime with a score of 35-30. 5 of those 7 points came from Jayson Mouzon. The Falcons bench scored 22 of their 35 points.

2 minutes into the second half the Lions took a timeout after a layup from the Falcons put them up 4, 39-34. The Lions would then go on a 8-0 run and take a 42-39 lead with 17 minutes left to play, Falcons timeout. Dundalk's defense held strong after the timeout, keeping Lackawanna scoreless until the 14:20 mark when Daryl Coleman made a jumpshot for the Falcons, 47-41 Lions lead. With 11 minutes left in the game Antonio Jenkins made a layup to give the Lions a 52-45 lead. Lackawanna would go on a 7-0 run to tie the game with 5:39 left in the game and Dundalk took a timeout. Out of the timeout Amear Johnson scores on the inbounds play to give the Lions the lead again. The Falcons miss their shot Johnson grabs the rebound and assists Murray Grant on the bucket and the Lions now lead by 4 with 3 minutes left. The Falcons were making their layups but Mouzon floated in two three pointers for the Lions who were now up 64-59 with under 2 minutes left in the game. Lackawanna would intentionally foul but the Lions would win the game 67-61.

Murray Grant led the team with 18 points but Naasir Johnson was right there with 17. Jayson Mouzon led the Lions in assists with 5. Antonion Jenkins was the leading rebounder with 9.

 

We return to conference play on Saturday against WVU Potomac State College at 1:00PM.
