Montgomery/Beaver Preview

The Lions play two big games this weekend, the first at Montgomery on Saturday, February 15th with tipoff scheduled for 3:30pm. Then the Lions will host the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) on Sunday with tipoff scheduled for 3:00pm.

These two games mean so much since they are both Division II Region 20 games. There are 12 teams and the top 8 make the playoffs. Beaver is 1st (9-0), CCBC Dundalk (6-2) is 3rd and Montgomery is 5th (5-4).

Montgomery is 18-6 on the year lead by two sophomore guards Isiah Jennings and Agyei Edwards. Both of them are averaging over 20 ppg. Jennings has over 600 points on the season. Edwards has more threes made than the rest of the team combined.

Beaver is 23-1 on the year with their only loss coming away from home at Harcum on November 9th in an overtime game. Beaver seems to have insane depth for JUCO where anyone player can go off for them.

The Lions have a tough weekend ahead of them
