Men’s Basketball: Lions Down Stars in Dundalk Mixer

By Philip C. Jones

The CCBC Dundalk Lions held on for a 97-92 win Friday night against Lansing Community College in game two of the 2015 CCBC Dundalk Men's Basketball Lions Mixer.

Sophomore Miquante Greene (Patapsco) made his presence felt with a team-high 27 points and had six rebounds, including four on defense.

Sophomore Terray Quickley (Baltimore Polytechnic) had 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal.

Sophomore Anthony Bennett Jr. (Aberdeen) led the team with 11 rebounds. The reigning NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week also put up 17 points, two assists, and one steal in the Lions victory.

Freshman point guard Mike White (Northwestern) led the Lions with nine assists.

It took a big team effort for this victory and the Lions were able to come together

Dundalk led Lansing 48-43 at halftime, but knew there was still work to be done. The second half was just like the first, high scoring and lots of momentum shifts.

With multiple lead changes throughout the game, the Lions trailed Lansing by three with four minutes remaining.

They did not panic and rallied with an eight-point swing in the last two minutes to their first home game of the season.
