First pitch of game one is scheduled for noon with game two starting about 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Julian Smonte started the game off by drawing a walk. GT Maggay singled to right field and moved Samonte to third. Doyle McNew doubled and brought both of them home to give the Lions a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

In the bottom of the 4th, 3 errors would prove costly for the Lions as they gave up 4 runs and the game as they would lose 4-2. Isaiah Coxon only gave up two hits while striking out 6 in his 3.2 innings pitched. Hunter Wright came in to replace Coxon, closed out the inning and finished the game for the Lions as he pitched 2.1 innings, striking out 4.

Samonte started game two just like the first, with a walk. He stole second on a strikeout and made it to a third on a ground ball. With two outs Mike Newsome singled and brought home Samonte to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. In the bottom half of the inning the Knights would tie the game with a homerun and take the lead from a single followed by a double, 2-1 Lions down.

In the top of the third Ivan Gonzalez hit a double down the right field line. McNew flew out to left and moved Gonzalez to third. Sam Richie's single would bring Gonzalez home and the Lions would tie the game 2-2.

The Knights would get two more in the bottom of the 4th and another in the 5th to give them a 5-2 lead over the Lions. In the top of the seventh Shawn Cintron would come on to pinch run. He would steal second and make it to third. Samonte would hit a single to left to score Cintron, bringing the tying run to the plate as the Lions were down 5-3. Sadly a double play ball would get the Knights out of it and the Lions lose both.
