CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame Spotlight: Linda T. Mabry

LINDA T. MABRY
Class of 2011
CCBC Dundalk
Volleyball, Basketball, Softball
1981-1983

A graduate of Patapsco High School (Baltimore, Md.), Linda T. Mabry was arguably the most talented three-sport student-athlete in CCBC Dundalk Athletics history and was an inaugural member of the CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame.

Mabry was the ultimate triple threat: a power hitter on the volleyball court, a force in the middle as a basketball center and a take-charge shortstop/pitcher on the softball diamond.

She was a 1983 NJCAA Volleyball All-American as a power hitter and was a two-time first team All-NJCAA Region XX Volleyball and first team All-Maryland JUCO Conference selection in all three sports.

Mabry earned an Associate of Arts degree from CCBC before transferring on an athletic scholarship to Temple University (Philadelphia, Pa.) as a power hitter/middle blocker for volleyball.

She excelled on Atlantic-10 Conference champion teams at the NCAA level both seasons, highlighted by a stellar 25-13 team record during her senior season.

After college, she continued to excel in amateur softball at the local, state, regional and national levels for nearly 25 years until hanging up her spikes in 2010.
