Softball: Sophomore Profile Shelby Monroe

Softball returning student athlete Shelby Monroe is looking forward to her sophomore season. Her favorite moments from last year was getting recruited by CCBC Dundalk coaching staff and having the opportunity to play in college. Shelby did not believe she would have an opportunity to play on the college level. Her most memorable moment from freshman year was diving and catching a ball. The biggest lesson she learned during last year was books before sports.

During the off season Shelby continuously worked to improve her softball skills. She focused on improving her strength and hitting. Shelby wants to build chemistry with her new team. As a sophomore, she wants to assume a leadership role.
