Lions Best Cheyney Again
Your CCBC Dundalk Lions finish the month off with a 81-61 win against Cheyney University of PA. The Lions are now 15-6 on the season.
The Lions finish the month of January 6-2 with two very tough losses. The first against the 24th ranked Division I team, Harcum and a 1 point loss to the number one MD JUCO team Cecil.
No one individual stood out compared to teammates on the stat sheet this game. 5 Players scored double digits. Christian Wright had 4 assists and 3 other Lions had 3 assists. Tyshaun Walker and Allayassa Bray both lead the team with 9 rebounds. Mohamed Bundu and Noel Hilton were right there both with 8 rebounds.
The Lions were down 21-19 with 9 minutes left but then ripped off a 12-0 run to go up 31-21 with 5 minutes left. The Lions finished the half up 38-29. Cheyney pushed for a comeback cutting the Lions lead down to 2, 42-40. That did not faze the Lions at all because right when the gap was closing they blew it up. Next thing you know the score was 57-42. A giant 15-2 run opened up the game for the Lions who eventually won 81-61.
