The Lions started off the new year right with a 97-82 win over the Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawks.
Mohamed Bundu was the leader in points and rebounds with 17 and 9 respectively. Christian Wright had a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists. Dana Strothers and Malik McCormick both scored 15 points off the bench.
AACC started out the game up 5-0 which happened to be their largest lead of the game. The Lions managed to tie the game at 11 before extending their lead to 7 with a score of 31-24. AACC answered with a 10-1 run to take the lead back and be up 34-32. CCBC came back with a 14-2 run of their own right after to take the lead back with a score of 46-36. The Lions kept their 10 point lead going into halftime up 51-41.
In the second half the Lions lead was never in question since they lead by double digits most of the way. The lowest lead of the half was 7 at 53-46 and the largest being 17 at 87-70.
The Lions next game will be at Prince George's Community College on Wednesday, January 8th at 7:00pm.
