The Cardinals started out with a 4-0 lead which would their only lead for the night. The Lions responded with a 14-0 run to go up 10. Another 8-0 run half way through the first gave the Lions a 16 point lead at 26-10. The Lions biggest lead was 17 at the end of the half when they doubled up the Cardinals 34-17.
In the second half, the Lions were able to extend the lead to 20 at 42-22. The Cardinals responded with a 12-0 run right after to cut the lead to 8 with a score of 42-34. A 9-1 and 8-0 run late in the second half extended the Lions lead out to 21. The Lions finished on top 69-50.
