How It Happened

• Good defense by Lions early on, blocking shots and forcing turnovers
• Nighthawks had the advantage in offensive rebounds during the early minutes, creating second chance points
• Good ball movement and cuts to the basket by the Nighthawks
• Lions had many second chance points in the first 5 minutes despite their size disadvantage
• Lions' Rodney Christian getting offensive rebounds with multiple Nighthawks all around him
• Lions drew fouls early on - five team fouls on Nighthawks with 7:11 into the game
• Lions started game in zone defense while the Nighthawks played man defense
• Throughout the game both teams double teamed the ball carrier and implemented a full court press
• Lions trailed 22-15 with 8:31 to go in the first
• Rodney Christian continued to dominate inside keeping the Lions in the game
• Both teams entered the penalty with 5:07 to go in the first
