CCBC Dundalk Men’s Basketball Graduates Quintuplet of Student Athletes

The Community College of Baltimore County held its annual graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 31 at the Essex Campus and five CCBC Dundalk men's basketball student-athletes officially became alumni.

Guards Malachy Onwudiegwu (Mt. Carmel) and Umbori Watson (Woodlawn) and guard/forward Kevin Davis (Digital Harbor) were present, as they donned ceremonial robes and walked the stage to receive their associate degrees. Forwards Sean Tarver (Carver) and James Brogdon (Kenwood) also graduated, but did not attend the ceremony.

Onwudiegwu, Watson, Tarver and Brogdon spent both of their junior college seasons with the Lions.

Onwudiegwu leaves with 730 points, a 43.8 field goal percentage (224-511), 33.2 three-point percentage (71-214) and 70.3 free throw success rate (211-300) for his career. He scored 20 or more eight times, including a career-high 29 points on November 11, 2014 against Northern Virginia C.C.

Brogdon was mostly a role player his freshman season, but really came on as a sophomore to complete his career at Dundalk. He finishes with 214 points on 85-159 shooting (53.5 %), 30 blocks and had 163 rebounds, 100 (63%) off the defensive glass.

Davis provided a huge jolt for the Lions this season, which strongly helped them reach the national tournament.

He scored 350 points on 126-273 (46%) shooting and made 40-121 (33%) three-point attempts. Davis grabbed 134 rebounds, had 77 assists and 66 steals.
