Lions Survive Raptors But Fall To The Titans

The Lions came out of this big weekend 1-1. On Saturday they won at Montgomery College 79-73. On Sunday the Community College of Beaver County came into Dundalk and won 79-73.

This weekend was so big for the Lions since it impacts seeding for the Region 20 Division II playoffs. As the season is winding down with the regular season ending late February, early March it looks like the Lions will fall somewhere in between the 2-5 seed with the top 8 teams making the playoffs.

Against Montgomery Mohamed Bundu led the Lions in scoring with 17. Tyshaun Walker was right behind him with 16 points while leading the team with 7 rebounds.

Against Beaver Malik McCormick led with 18 points. Jayson Mouzon had 17 points. The first half was close with the game being tied at 21 but the Titans slowly broke away to have a 41-37 lead at half. But the second half opened up with a 9-0 run the Lions could never recover from. With 5 minutes left in the game the Titans were up 73-52, their biggest margin of the game, 21. The Lions finished strong only losing by 6 in the end. The Lions demise was being out rebounded in the second half 24-10.

The Lions have almost a full week off before traveling to Hagerstown on Saturday, February 22nd.
