The Lions first half was outstanding out scoring ASA 49-26. Tyshaun Walker had 13 points and Malik McCormick, 14, combining to outscore the Avengers.
Foul trouble hurt the squad going into the second half. The Lions never their 23 point lead but it was cut down to 10 and that's what they won by.
Walker ended up leading the game in scoring with 25 points. Mohamed Bundu had a double-double 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lions second game of the tournament will be against Pitt Community College.
