Backert Resigns; Ritko Takes Helm

DUNDALK, MD - Matt Backert has resigned as head coach of the CCBC Dundalk Lions baseball team. He had been head coach since the 2019-20 seasson, navigating the team through the challenging COVID years. 

Backert is assuming the role of head baseball coach at NDMU, telling us "While committed to the Lions and the success of the team and the baseball program, this is an opportunity I just couldn't turn down." Baseball will be a new program at NDMU.

Nick Ritko, assistant baseball coach since the 2018-19 season, will take the helm as head coach of the Lions.
