PGCC Owls Rout Lions in Slugfest 25-13

DUNDALK, MD - In a game where there was a combined 38 runs in a span of 7 innings, the Owls of Prince George's Community College overcame a first inning 3-0 deficit to score 25 runs in a 6-inning span to beat the CCBC Dundalk Lions 25-13.

As the game headed into the third inning, the score was tied at 4 until the Owls scored 8 runs. They had another 8 run inning in the fifth, which included a grand slam by Brandon Crosby (1HR, 5RBI's). Austin Adams added 4 RBI's in this game as the Owls improved to 10-14 (5-7 Maryland JUCO Conference).

Despite giving up 25 runs, the Lions offense was able to explode for 13 runs thanks to a pair of 2-run home runs from Shawn Dignazio (Kenwood) (1HR, 2RBIs) and Zach Huddleston (Good Counsel) (1HR 5RBIs). Ethan Alioto (Catonsville) (2RBIs) also had a pair of RBI singles. The Lions dropped to 9-15 (3-8 Maryland JUCO Conference).

Next up: the Lions they play a doubleheader on Saturday April 14 in Waldorf, Maryland against the Hawks of the College of Southern Maryland. They will be back home on Sunday for a doubleheader against the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs. For both days, first pitch is noon.
