RHP Fernandez NJCAA D2 Pitcher of the Week

DUNDALK, MD – Lions freshman pitcher Antonio Fernandez (John Bowne | Queens, N.Y.) was named NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Week for March 12-18 after a standout performance against Harford Community College.

On March 15, the young righty pitched a complete game, striking out eight, and allowing just four hits to a potent Fighting Owls' lineup. The 6-1 win was the Lions' first against Harford in almost four years.

After the game, head coach Kyle Campbell told us, "Antonio was phenomenal on the mound for us today. He got ahead of hitters all day long and really kept them off balance. His breaking ball was sharp and he showed great command of all of his pitches."  

The Lions are currently 7-9 overall and 1-2 Maryland JUCO Conference.
