Bio

Melissa Miller, Director of Athletics,  joined the Cardinals in the fall of 2014 as Assistant Director of Athletics. 

She was a former NJCAA student athlete at Prince George’s Community College (1997-1999) where she competed in four varsity sports (soccer, basketball, bowling, and softball) and earned NJCAA Academic All-American honors. Miller earned her Associate’s Degree with honors before transferring to Towson University, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Summa Cum Laude.

Miller served as the Supervisor of Athletic Operations at Prince George’s Community College for nine years and also served as the head softball coach. She coached the highly competitive Severna Park Hornets club softball team from 2002-2012 from 10u-21u, making two trips to the prestigious ASA Gold World Series. Miller has also coached soccer and softball at the youth level.

While overseeing CCBC Catonsville’s athletic programs, multiple teams have seen success at the conference, regional and national level, multiple student athlete awards for athletics and academics, and have overseen the addition of a new turf field at the campus in the fall of 2018.

After serving as the Maryland JUCO secretary for 2 years, Miller was named the first female elect President for the conference in 2018. She also serves as the Conference AD Liaison for softball, Region XX Softball Chair, and sits on several conference and regional committees. Miller was named MD JUCO Athletic Director of the Year in 2017. 

She currently resides in North Beach, MD with her husband of 16 years (Joe) and their two kids (McKenzie and Christian).
